Nationality: British
Andrew joined the Group as Chief Executive in September 2019, bringing a wide range of executive and leadership expertise to Spectris, with proven experience in technology-enabled businesses and a track record of delivering shareholder value. He previously served as CEO of Imagination technologies Group plc from 2016 to 2018 and before that was CEO of Alent plc. Prior to this, Andrew had a 30-year career with Rolls-Royce where he held a number of international and senior management roles, latterly serving as the President of Energy from 2010 to 2015. Andrew has a BSc in engineering from Imperial College London and an MBA from Loughborough University.

Derek Harding
Chief Financial Officer

Nationality: British
Derek joined the group as Chief Financial Officer in March 2019 and brings a wide range of financial leadership and industrial expertise to Spectris. In addition to his responsibility for Group finance operations worldwide, he also leads the operational management of Group Risk; Group Legal; Investor Relations; Group IT and the Group’s Capital Allocation process. He most recently served as group finance director at Shop Direct. Derek was CFO at Senior plc from 2013 to 2017 and before that, he was at Wolseley plc for 11 years in a number of financial leadership roles, most recently as finance director of Wolseley UK. He previously held a number of group roles, including group financial controller, director of group strategy and investor relations, and head of mergers and acquisitions. Derek qualified as a chartered accountant with PwC.

Mark Fleiner
President of Spectris Scientific
Mark became President of Malvern Panalytical in May 2020 and Spectris Scientific in 2022. He was previously Business Group Director, responsible for the Industrial Solutions Division and joined Spectris in early 2019.
Mark has a strong track record in leadership and general management roles within some very challenging manufacturing sectors, with nearly 30 years’ experience in the energy, chemical, and metals industries. He started his career with General Electric, after which he undertook a succession of increasingly senior global roles across the energy, petroleum and fuel cell sectors, becoming CEO of LG Fuel Cell Systems, a joint venture between LG and Rolls-Royce. He then spent three years at MacDermid Performance Solutions as Vice President, Global Supply-Chain Operations where he led all operational aspects of 32 facilities across the Americas, Asia and Europe. Mark joined Spectris from Waybill Holdings where he headed up M&A and asset operations within the metals industry.

Ben Bryson
President of Spectris Dynamics
Ben was appointed as President of HBK in January 2022. He joined HBK in 2020 as Chief Operating Officer and has been a key part of its Executive Management Team developing and executing on their strategy.
Prior to joining HBK, Ben spent six years in Eaton Corporation including two years where he served as President of the Hydraulics Division EMEA, based in Hungary. Prior to this, Ben spent 10 years at Honeywell Corporation spending his early years in contracts and senior commercial roles, before assuming various key operations positions with increasing levels of responsibility. He has a track record of successfully developing and executing strategic business plans, growing revenue and improving margin, underpinned by a strong commitment to Lean and people development.

Rebecca Dunn
Head of Corporate Affairs
Rebecca joined Spectris in 2017 and became Head of Sustainability in May 2020 and Head of Corporate Affairs in October 2022.
Rebecca is responsible for the Group’s Sustainability strategy, including our Net Zero ambition, our approach to climate change and our social strategy on STEM, communities and Inclusion and Belonging. Rebecca was appointed as Company Secretary to the Board of Spectris plc in October 2022 and is responsible for the Group’s compliance with relevant law, regulation and best practice in relation to the Group’s listing on the London Stock Exchange.
Rebecca began her career in the City where she held several governance roles in both the banking and insurance industry, including RSA Insurance, HSBC and Schroders. She then spent seven years at BG Group, most recently as deputy company secretary, leading their retail shareholder strategy.
Rebecca gained her law degree at Lancaster University and is a Fellow of the Chartered Governance Institute.

Group Human Resources Director
Andrew joined Spectris in 2017 and has considerable human resource experience gained in areas including change management, talent and development, employee engagement, acquisitions and disposals.
Andrew joined Spectris from GKN where he served as Senior VP Human Resources in the Aerospace division and subsequently as Senior VP Human Resources in the Automotive division. Prior to GKN, he was VP Human Resources with Sequana Private Equity which followed a series of senior human resource leadership roles with industrial companies in the UK and Europe.

Judith Wettach
Head of Corporate Development
Judith joined Spectris in June 2020 as Head of Corporate Development.
She was previously Global Head of M&A and Strategy at Coats Group plc and prior to that, led strategy and business development for Rio Tinto Alcan Engineered & Automotive Solutions, having been a strategy consultant at McKinsey.
Judith brings extensive experience in M&A, strategy development and execution, change leadership and programme management. She obtained her Licentiate in Economics, Finance and Capital Markets from the University of St. Gallen and her MBA from HEC Montréal.
