Overview
UV curing is now frequently the manufacturing process of choice in a diverse array of industrial manufacturing and printing industries. UV curing is a photochemical process that instantaneously converts specifically formulated liquid inks, coatings, and adhesives into permanent “plastic” solids. Unlike the traditional thermal drying process, the UV curing process can be applied to heat sensitive substrates, such as thin plastic films and electronics. It is environmentally compliant (virtually VOC emissions-free), provides product with improved performance properties, reduces cycle times, reduces inventory, and is typically more energy efficient than conventional thermal dryers.
