A large tissue manufacturer in China with annual production of 50,000 tons was unhappy with the short 2-hour lifetime of the steel blades it was using and the quality of the end tissue paper. Using BTG’s Duroblade high-performance creping blades, the lifetime of the blades has increased to up to 48 hours and tissue quality has improved, resulting in an additional 40 million RMB (approx. £4 million) in profit for the customer.
